On Saturday, October 4, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm, the Squam Lakes Association (SLA) will be hosting an art program where we will be teaching and learning new strategies of felting together. We will be looking out at Pipers Cove and trying to capture the landscape. We will hold this program rain or shine. If it turns into a beautiful, wet fall day, we’ll move inside to our great room.
Squam Lake is beautiful in every form. Come capture the landscape with us this fall by felting. We will have an introductory workshop on all things felting. Lakes Region Conservation Corps member Emma Murray will lead this deep dive into fiber. We will provide all necessary materials; register early as participation is limited. This event will take place at the Squam Lakes Association (SLA) main building, looking out at Piper's Cove. Everyone will come away from the program with a felted image to take home.
For more information, or to sign up for this Adventure Ecology program, visit the SLA website (squamlakes.org) or contact the SLA directly (603-968-7336). The SLA also offers other Adventure Ecology programs throughout the year. These free programs are open to the public and cover a variety of nature and conservation-related topics. The Adventure Ecology programs are presented by the LRCC AmeriCorps members at the SLA who perform important conservation work in support of the Association’s mission.
The Squam Lakes Association is dedicated to conserving for public benefit the natural beauty, peaceful character and resources of the watershed. In collaboration with local and state partners the SLA promotes the protection, careful use and shared enjoyment of the lakes, mountains, forests, open spaces and wildlife of the Squam LakesRegion.
