THE BARN RAISER
Outdoor Industry Day 2026 is GOA’s annual gathering to bring New Hampshire’s outdoor industry together, celebrate progress, and lift the industry toward what’s next.
Last year marked the proclamation. This year is about building on it.
A barn raiser is what happens when people show up to build something bigger than themselves.
That is the spirit behind Outdoor Industry Day 2026.
This year, GOA is bringing the industry together in Plymouth for an evening of connection, celebration, and shared direction. The Barn Raiser is about more than gathering in one room. It is about lifting up the people, businesses, organizations, and ideas that continue to move New Hampshire’s outdoor economy forward.
Last year established Outdoor Industry Day as an official statewide marker. This year builds on that momentum with a more intentional industry gathering — one designed to celebrate where the industry stands, recognize the road ahead, and strengthen the relationships that will help shape its future.
So yes, it is a barn party. But it is also a call to show up, pitch in, and help raise what comes next.
Never miss a barn party!

KEYNOTE SPOTLIGHT
RAISING THE INDUSTRY: ERIK MOGENSEN
This year’s featured keynote at Outdoor Industry Day: The Barn Raiser will be delivered by Erik Mogensen, CEO and founder of Entabeni Systems, Managing Director of Indy Pass, and General Manager of Black Mountain. Through Entabeni, Indy Pass, and Black Mountain, Erik has become one of the most visible and consequential voices in independent skiing — building tools for small mountains, growing Indy Pass, and stepping directly into the work of keeping independent ski areas viable in a changing market.
If this year’s theme is about lifting the industry, Erik fits it naturally. His work in New Hampshire is not theoretical: it includes helping anchor Black Mountain’s future while turning it into something more than a ski area alone — a hub of innovation, a proving ground for new ideas, and a reminder that a mountain town can also be a place where serious outdoor business gets built. In that way, Black has become a signature example of what it looks like when technology, entrepreneurship, and mountain culture meet in one place.
At The Barn Raiser, Erik will share practical insight on relocation, workforce seasonality, housing pressure, work ethic, and the hard decisions that come with growing durable businesses in New Hampshire. It should be a grounded, candid keynote from someone who has not just talked about lifting the industry, but done it first-hand.
Never miss a barn party!

A LOOK BACK AT 2025
This day, June 10, 2026, has been years in the making, evolving through a growing partnership with the Office of Outdoor Recreation Industry Development. Since Granite Outdoor Alliance’s founding in 2020, we’ve worked to give outdoor recreation the seat at the table it deserves as a $4.3 billion industry in New Hampshire. With this recognition, we’ve gained not only visibility, but credibility—and a stronger voice in advocating for our members. We’re just getting warmed up.
